Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for HR operations and administration across our global workforce, with deep expertise in Turkish labor law and working knowledge of international HR practices including US employment and contractor management in LATAM and EU. This role requires a proactive, ownership-driven approach to human resources management and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions while supporting seamless day-to-day HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Employee Management

  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Turkish labor laws, US regulations, and company policies
  • Manage payroll coordination across multiple systems including Gusto (US) and Kolay IK (Turkiye) and Deel, ensuring accurate and timely processing through third-party payroll providers
  • Handle employee time-tracking, leave management, and attendance records across all regions
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs and assist employees with related inquiries
  • Support performance management processes by assisting with reviews, feedback collection, and performance improvement plans
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues to HR leadership when necessary
  • Facilitate employee training sessions and professional development initiatives

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Turkish labor laws (İş Kanunu, SGK requirements) and maintain awareness of US federal/state employment regulations
  • Support contractor management and compliance for international team members, particularly in Latin America
  • Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency across HR and operations
  • Assist in audits and inspections by maintaining organized personnel records and compliance documentation
  • Maintain accurate payroll expense tracking and reporting across all entities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Assist in domestic and international recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires
  • Support full-cycle recruiting with various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Utilize LinkedIn Talent Solutions and professional networks for proactive candidate sourcing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources and HR operations in Turkey
  • Strong command of Turkish labor legislation, SGK processes, and payroll regulations
  • Working knowledge of US employment practices and international contractor management
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; familiarity with Gusto and Kolay IK preferred
  • Fluency in Turkish and English (professional fluency required)
  • Familiarity with KVKK (personal data protection), health & safety regulations, and information security procedures
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems and familiarity with LinkedIn for talent acquisition
  • Takes extreme ownership of responsibilities with a proactive, self-starter mindset
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across time zones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational tools
