Role Summary
As Data Operations Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day engine behind our patient database, ensuring data is acquired, managed, and delivered with rigor and reliability. You’ll own workflows from patient consent through record retrieval, orchestrate relationships with external vendors and sources, and manage the team accountable for data integrity and client delivery. This role doesn’t require deep technical or AI experience—but demands sharp operational discipline, process design skills, and relentless problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage scalable workflows for data acquisition, including patient consent management, record sourcing, and vendor coordination
Lead and develop a high-performing team tasked with executing key parts of the data pipeline
Define and standardize operating procedures, trackers, SLAs, and quality benchmarks to maintain the highest standards of data completeness
Own client reporting processes within the data operations umbrella, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks and unblock project dependencies
Negotiate agreements and manage relationships with third-party data vendors
Monitor key metrics; including record throughput, consent rate, time-to-delivery, cost per data point, and quality and drive continuous improvement with clear accountability
Who You Are
You have 5+ years’ experience driving operations or data-centric processes in a startup, health-tech, or data-enabled environment (healthcare a plus)
You are hands-on with workflow design, process documentation, and performance tracking
You’ve built and managed pragmatic data pipelines, sourced and negotiated with vendors, and thrive in changing environments
You balance urgency with attention to detail and never lose ownership of your deliverables
You can motivate and structure team efforts while partnering across functions to align on goals
You operate with humility and will roll up your sleeves to get work done—no task is too small
